Elefant-zine #8 Siouxsie à l'élysée montmartre

Paris, dimanche soir, un 28 octobre 2007.

Chère Wanda,
   Je reviens tout juste de l'Elysée-Montmartre où j'ai vu Siouxsie sans ses Banshees. Je ne l'avais pas vu depuis tout ce temps!! Putain, c'était vraiment bien!  Elle a toujours cette classe particulière. Personne ne parierai qu'elle a 50 ans maintenant. Tu sais, elle est toujours aussi jolie, un peu comme toi, hein?!

Elle danse comme comme on l'imaginait dans les années 80. Elle lance sa jambe bien haut dans le ciel et mèle ses bras comme les hindous psychédéliques le font. Habillée avec une sorte de costume power-rangers lamé or et argent (sans le casque LOL!), elle a assuré grave!! T'imagines?

Musicalement, son concert est articulé autour de son nouveau CD Mantaray que je t'ai fait écouté l'autre soir au cimetière. Elle en a joué presque l'intégralité. Elle a ouvert le set avec they follow you". Les meilleurs moments d'après moi, ça a été "about to happen", "into a swan" et "here comes that day". Bizarrement, Je sais plus si elle a joué "if it doesn't kill u". J'espère trouver quelqu'un pour me le dire...

Entre les chansons, elle ne parle pas trop mais elle s'exprime dans un français correct avec presque l'accent du Sud-Ouest qu'elle doit connaître vu que maintenant, elle vit près de Toulouse.  Ca donnait quelque chose comme "vous en voulez toujours plus!!... maintenant ça suffit!! "
Ajoute à tout ça, de bons vieux standards de la période des Banshees comme "spellbound", "arabian knights", night shift", "Honk Kong garden" "nicotine stain" et "Israel" en rappel et l'on se dirait presque que rien ne manque...

Rien ne manque...sauf mes cheveux sur mon crâne chauve et toi....comme toujours.

Paris, sunday night,the 28th of october.
I just come back from the Elysée-Montmartre where i went to see Siouxsie.
I  never saw her since all this time!! It was so damn GOOD!!
She still have that particular cat class! Nobody would bet she's actually fifty. You know, She's still very pretty. Kind like you uh?
She dance just as we imagined her round 1980. she throws her legs high in the sky and melts her arms in an arabian style. Dressed-up with a gold and silver power-rangers suit (minus helmet LOL), she's at her best! Can u imagine?
Musically speakin, her set is built round her new cd Mantaray that i let u hear. she plays most of it. She opens with "they follow you". My highlights were "about to happen", "into a swan" "here comes that day". I dont remember if she sang "if it doesn't kill u". Hope someone will tell me.
Between songs, she's not that talkative but she speaks easily in a quite good french accent: "vous en voulez toujours plus!!... maintenant ça suffit!! "
Add to that, a good old "spellbound", "arabian knights", night shift", "HK garden" "nicotine stain" and "Israel" as an encore and you think: nothing is missing...

nothing is missing... but my hair on my bald head and you.... as always.
